Pillow Swap {South Jordan Modern Quilt Guild}

Last night at the Modern Quilt Guild we had a pillow swap. The rule was, make an 18" modern pillow, I guess we were supposed to use a solid color but somehow we missed that part. ;)

Kathleen and I made matching pillows using a little bit of Hometown by Sweetwater. I love them, I really want to make a couple more to go on my red couch, they'd look so cute wouldn't they!

This darling dresden pillow is the one that I ended up with. I love it! I love dresdens and happy colors. I think that Jamie actually made both of our pillows. Thanks Jamie!

Kathleen came home with this super cute aqua pear pillow. I love it, I think she should leave it in the studio for me to admire all day every day. ;)

Making the pillows was actually really fun, Kathleen taught me  how to insert a zipper in a pillow and I might say, if I had all day every day to sew for myself I could totally get addicted to making pillows.

Bloggers Quilt Festival {Spring 2011}

First of all, I'm glad blogger has got their issue fixed. Only one post was lost and I should be able to repost that soon! :)

Can you believe it's already time for Bloggers Quilt Festival. I honestly can't believe how fast time is going. I'm pretty sure this is my 4th time to participate. 

Each Bloggers Quilt Festival I've shared a quilt that has ment the most to me over the past six months and this time I'm super duper excited to share my quilt "Petals". This is one of my new patterns and I just love it! Maybe cuz I'm obsessed with applique and flowers?!?!

I loved it lots and then my LQS asked me to make a sample of it in a different color way so they could make more kits. So I made this darling little version and I love it even more! :)

Petals {Bee Block}

I just finished making this darling little block for Tracey in my VIB group. I love how it turned out so I just couldn't wait until Monday to share :)

Tracey asked us to each make a 16" block with the theme "Petals" so I played off of my new Petals pattern and came up with this.

Okay, now maybe I can enjoy the weekend. Hope you do too!
