North Korea's Youtube & Twitter Hacked!

Hackers celebrate North Korea heir's birthday

Sat Jan 8, 2011

"(Reuters) - Hackers have attacked North Korea's official Youtube and Twitter accounts, posting a cartoon showing Kim Jong-il's heir apparent driving a sports car into a crowd of starving countrymen."

And here is that video:

UPDATE: S. Korean hackers trade cyber blows with N. Korea

(AFP) – 1 day ago

SEOUL — "Computer hackers from South and North Korea are waging an apparent propaganda battle in cyberspace, less than two months after their militaries traded artillery fire across the tense sea border.

Users of the South's popular website dcinside.com have claimed responsibility for hacking into the North's Twitter account and its official website, and leaving messages denigrating the ruling Kim family.

A separate and now deleted posting on YouTube showed a cartoon of Kim Jong-Un -- youngest son and heir apparent of leader Kim Jong-Il -- mowing down ordinary people in a fancy sports car.

It was apparently posted to mark Jong-Un's birthday Saturday."

Just released on YouTube, here is the official trailer for the upcoming Japanese video game: 幼なじみは大統領 "OSANANAJIMI HA DAITOURYOU" or "My Girlfriend is The President":

幼なじみは大統領 My Girlfriend is The President

Well, I can "imagine" but I'm not exactly sure "how" this game is supposed to be played!?!?! Also, despite the fact that this video game will be sold in Japan only, somehow it appears as though that the Japanese will apparently save the world! YATTA!!!

Live Video: Mass of the Fermenting Dregs

Recently released on YouTube, here is a very good, multi-camera shot video of Mass of The Fermenting Dregs live at the Daikanyama Unit in Tokyo on September 22, 2008. And having seen them just a couple months ago, I have to say that this video really captures the intensity of Mass Dore and their fans quite well. Of course, you want to turn up the volume all the way:

Yes, I have been posting often about "Masu Dore" lately, but, seriously, modern-day alternative rock music does not get any better than this incredible band from Kobe, Japan. Here is a digital YouTube audio clip for their awesome ハイライト ("Highlight") single:

Moon: A Real Space Oddity

Today the Japan Aerospace Agency (JAXA) and the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) released the final images and videos of the Japanese Lunar Explorer KAGUYA HDTV Shots

"KAGUYA (SELENE) Last shots captured by the HDTV

June 19, 2009 (JST)

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency
Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK)

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) would like to release the final still images taken by the onboard High Definition Television (HDTV) of the lunar explorer "KAGUYA" just prior to its maneuvered falling to the Moon. The images are attached below. The KAGUYA was launched on September 14, 2007, and was controlled to be dropped to the Moon on June 11, 2009, as its mission was completed.

The series of continued shots was taken with an interval of about one minute by the HDTV (Teltephoto) while the KAGUYA was maneuvered to decrease its altitude toward the impact position (around GILL crater.)
"

Here is the stunning high-definition 3D YouTube video:

And just within this past week, Duncan Jones' debut film Moon starring Sam Rockwell was released on a limited basis by Sony Pictures in the US and UK and has already received many very great reviews by several notable film critics.

Here is the official trailer of 'Moon':

Now here is the catch: Almost forty years ago, Duncan Jones' father, the legendary David Bowie, released his first hit single Space Oddity on July 11, 1969. And about a week or so later, Apollo 11 successfully landed on the moon. The BBC featured Space Oddity in its television coverage of the lunar landing.

Here is an excellent live performance video of Space Oddity by David Bowie in Japan at the Tokyo Dome:

What all this means, of course, is that the Moon is a real Space Oddity, indeed.

North Korean Karaoke - 'Anarchy in the DPRK'

In March 2008, Shane Smith and Eddy Moretti risked their lives and liberty and crossed over the Chinese-North Korean border and filmed a truly amazing documentary of their trip into 'The Hermit Kingdom' in The Vice Guide to North Korea:

"Getting into North Korea was one of the hardest and weirdest processes VBS has ever dealt with. After we went back and forth with their representatives for months, they finally said they were going to allow 16 journalists into the country to cover the Arirang Mass Games in Pyongyang. Then, ten days before we were supposed to go, they said, “No, nobody can come.” Then they said, “OK, OK, you can come. But only as tourists.” We had no idea what that was supposed to mean. They already knew we were journalists, and over there if you get caught being a journalist when you’re supposed to be a tourist you go to jail. We don’t like jail. And we’re willing to bet we’d hate jail in North Korea."

"But we went for it...."

And they certainly got it! Check out this quite surreal and somewhat humorous episode:
